In 2022, thanks to generous donations from individuals, organizations, and institutions, The COWRIE Initiative, home of BankBlackUSA, launched our pilot internship program. We were able to offer paid internships to students from University of Michigan, Brown University, and University of Texas at Arlington.
In 2023, we will deepen our program with these institutions, we will also expand to new colleges and universities across the country.
Overview of Internship Program
In order to participate in our internship program, college students must be at least 18 years or older before the first day of the program. All internships will be hosted virtually.
Our internship program can support academic credit requests. Although we do not arrange academic credit for you, if your school has an educational credit program, we will help you align your internship with your institution’s requirements. Internships will pay a stipend for no more than 20 hours of work a week.
